HIVE premieres at SeriesFest

The indie sci-fi series I’ve been developing with Stephanie Jeter and Tim Maupin has reached a milestone.  Our pilot / proof-of-concept for HIVE makes its world premiere at Series Fest 7!

This project has had some awesome ups, and some really challenging downs, and I’m proud that we’ve found a way to persevere to this point.  The festival is based in Denver and is virtual this year.

Our episode is in Independent Pilot Block 2!

Series Fest is one of the few really focused on episodic entertainment (i.e. TV), as opposed to film. It’s so refreshing to be here, even virtually. So many high profile festivals are really about film and don’t know what to do with TV projects. Not so at Series Fest. The panels have been awesome.  The workshops have been very relevant, and I have a good feeling that we’re going to have some exciting momentum after our screenings.

I wrote the episode that’s in the fest, one of several scripts we’ve been developing.  It’s got some signature McPhatter vibes in it, and the entire series is exploring some really intriguing futuristic themes.

I’m STOKED!
